Privacy Policy

The short version

CalcWren provides browser-based utility tools. Calculator arithmetic and file conversion run on your device; our calculation and conversion code does not upload your amounts or files to a processing server. Some features make external requests, as described below. You do not need an account to use the tools.

Local calculations, files and previews

Calculator amounts, document-template fields and files opened in local converters are processed in the browser. Downloads are created on your device. Required libraries may first load from external content delivery networks, which receive technical request data such as your IP address and browser information. Offline use depends on the required code already being loaded.

HTML and Markdown previews can request images, stylesheets or other resources referenced in the content you open. The hosts of those resources receive those requests. If you enable scripts in the HTML viewer, those scripts can also make network requests. Consider the source of a document before previewing external content.

Domain age lookups

The domain age checker sends the domain you enter to rdap.org and the relevant RDAP registry, with a Verisign fallback for .com and .net. These services receive the requested domain and technical connection data. This lookup requires an internet connection; it is not a purely local calculation.

Feedback you choose to send

When you submit feedback, your selected tool, issue category, message and optional email address are sent through Web3Forms to our support inbox. Include only information you want to share. There is no need to send bank statements, account numbers or other sensitive documents to describe a problem. Web3Forms processes the submission under its privacy policy.

The bank-statement converters keep diagnostic metadata in browser session storage, including the number of pages and rows found, detected column and date formats, whether a balance column was found, and browser information. This record does not contain the file contents, transaction descriptions or account numbers. Following a diagnostic feedback link can prefill those details into the message. You can review or remove them before submitting; they are sent only with the feedback you choose to submit.

Hosting and server logs

Cloudflare hosts the site using Workers static assets. Delivering pages and protecting the service involves technical request data such as IP addresses, browser user-agents and requested URLs. Cloudflare handles this data under its privacy policy.

Advertising, cookies and measurement

Pages include Google AdSense advertising code. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads, measure performance and personalise advertising where permitted. These services can receive technical connection and browser data. We do not use Google Analytics, but that does not mean the site has no third-party measurement or cookies.

See Google's advertising documentation and Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage Google's advertising preferences through Ads Settings and manage stored cookies through your browser. These controls do not necessarily stop all technical requests needed to deliver the site.

Storage and retention

Local tool data normally lives in the current page. Diagnostic session storage can survive a reload and is normally cleared when the tab's session ends; browser session-restoration features can affect this. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them. Closing the page does not delete downloads, feedback already sent, or records held by external providers.

Submitted feedback and optional email addresses may remain in our support inbox for handling the report. External providers apply their own retention practices. To request deletion of feedback you have sent, contact us using the address below and identify the message.
