How the quote generator works
Clients decide fast when a quote is easy to scan: who it is from, who it is for, what each piece costs, and when the offer expires. This template puts your business block and the client block side by side, the quote number and valid-until date up top, an itemized table in the middle, and discount, tax and total at the bottom right. The math is subtotal minus discount, then tax on the discounted amount, then the total, and it updates live as you type.
The default terms cover the basics freelancers forget: how long the quote is valid, how acceptance works, and that changes to scope get re-quoted. Edit them freely; the whole terms block lands on the PDF verbatim. A clear quote protects both sides and shortens the back-and-forth before work starts.

How long should a quote be valid?
Commonly 14 to 30 days. Shorter protects you from cost changes; longer suits slow client approvals. Always print the valid-until date on the quote, as this template does.
